Claudia explores how images come into being and change when translated between systems of perception. Her early works transformed photographs taken by a blind person into tactile drawings and later placing art-historical imagery in new contexts.

 

Her current series begins with audio descriptions of well-known artworks, where language and its omissions shape drawings between memory and imagination. She is less interested in finished images than in the process through which translation produces a new original.
